THE RULES
OF THE SHOP.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of spoolfoundry.com and the custom 3D printing services provided by Spool Foundry (the "Service"). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Spool Foundry
Orlando, Florida, United States
hello@spoolfoundry.com
Spool Foundry is a custom-manufacturing service. We produce parts from files that customers provide. We do not operate a retail storefront.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Quotes and orders
Quotes are issued in writing by email. A quote is valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. An order is created when you approve a quote and payment is authorized. Production begins when the order is accepted into our queue.
We reserve the right to decline any order for any lawful reason, including but not limited to: insufficient information, non-manifold geometry, files we cannot print, or requests that violate Section 5 below.
4. Pricing and payment
When you approve a quote, we email you a secure payment link. You complete payment on our website with a major credit or debit card. Production begins once the payment has cleared.
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted.
- We do not store credit card numbers. Card data is handled end-to-end by our PCI-compliant payment processor. The only information that touches our servers is the transaction confirmation.
- We do not collect payment at the time you submit a quote request — only after you review and approve the quote.
- The secure payment link is unique to your order, single-use, and expires after 7 days. If it expires, contact us and we'll issue a new one.
- Payment in full is required before production begins.
- Sales tax is collected where legally required.
- Expedite fees, upgraded shipping, and post-processing add-ons are itemized on the quote before you approve it — no hidden charges.
- Accepted cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.
5. Acceptable use — what we will not print
We exercise judgment about what we print. We will not knowingly produce, and we reserve the right to decline or cancel, any order that involves:
- Functional firearms, silencers, receivers, or any component intended to build a firearm.
- Weapons designed to injure, maim, or kill.
- Items that infringe copyright, trademark, trade dress, or patent rights of a third party.
- Counterfeit goods or deceptive reproductions of branded products.
- Sexually explicit material depicting minors.
- Items that are illegal to manufacture or possess in Florida or in your jurisdiction.
- Parts that a reasonable person would consider unsafe, hazardous, or intended to facilitate harm.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to any file you upload, and that the use of the resulting printed part is lawful.
6. Intellectual property
Your files remain yours. Uploading a file to Spool Foundry grants us only the limited license necessary to quote, print, package, and ship the part you ordered. We do not claim ownership of your geometry. We do not publish, share, resell, or train machine-learning models on customer files. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
Site content (text, images, design, logos) is © 2026 Spool Foundry. "Spool Foundry" and the Spool Foundry logo are trademarks. You may not copy or reuse Site content without written permission.
7. Tolerances and material properties
Fused-deposition 3D printing has inherent limitations. Unless explicitly agreed on the quote:
- Dimensional tolerance is approximately ± 0.3 mm on any given feature.
- Layer lines are visible on all surfaces.
- Anisotropy is normal — parts are stronger along the print plane than across layers.
- Material properties are approximate and depend on orientation, infill, and environment.
See our material guides for detailed discussion of each filament.
8. Warranty and liability
We warrant that parts will be free from manufacturing defects as described in our Return & Refund Policy. We make no other warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
You assume all risk for the use of the printed parts. Spool Foundry is not responsible for damages, injuries, losses, or consequences resulting from the use, misuse, modification, or failure of any part we produce. Our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Custom 3D printed parts are not certified for medical, aerospace, life-safety, structural, load-bearing, or critical infrastructure applications unless we have agreed to those requirements in writing beforehand, and you have signed a separate agreement.
9. Cancellation and refunds
See our Return & Refund Policy.
10. Shipping and delivery
See our Shipping Policy.
11. Privacy
See our Privacy Policy.
12. Chargebacks
If you believe there is a problem with an order, contact us first. Opening a chargeback without prior communication may result in the account being declined for future orders and, if the chargeback is found to be in bad faith, collection of the disputed amount.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through direct communication shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date above always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
